Our Awards & Activities 2007-2008

NATIONAL SOCIETY AWARDS: Citation Award for Outstanding Accomplishments in attaining Chapter Achievement Award, Level One, 51-100; 100% Participation Certificate for President General's Project; Second Place Insignia Award, Lynn Denney, Chair.

SOUTHEASTERN DIVISION: Second place individual winner in the Cultural Events and Traditions Contest is Violette Denney.

GEORGIA STATE SOCIETY AWARDS: State Honor Roll for fulfilling specified requirements; Chapter Regent, Virginia Ann Ruskell; Hightower Award for supporting DAR schools; Art contest 1st place winner in the State was Jade Kelly for her poster; The chapter was recognized as a Meadow Garden Patron (Meadow Gardens is the home of George Walton); Award certificate for 1st place "Donating most books to the NSDAR Library;  Appreciation Certificates for participating in the State Regent's Quilt Project, Greatest Number of Flag Literature distributed, and for Outstanding Veteran Activities;  Certificate of Appreciation for sponsoring the State Outstanding Teacher of American History, Laura Cohen of Jonesville Middle School.  Violette Denney was presented a Certificate of Appreciation for donating three books to the NSDAR Library.
